We all have those days that just put us in a funk. Not the James Brown kind of funk. I’m talking about the “leave me alone”, “why do I have to do everything for everyone”, “why do my co-workers leave their brain at home “- that kind of funk. Nothing ever seems to go your way and sometimes you feel like saying “why bother, what’s the point”. It’s easy to throw yourself a pity party and just sulk in the corner. You may not have control of how people act towards you, but you do have control in how you react to situations. If you take the approach of “it is what it is” or “everything is everything”, your mindset in those situations will change. It can be hard at times because we are emotional beings, but once you are aware of it, it gets easier. I’ll end this post with one of my favourite Lauryn Hill songs “Everything is Everything”. Listen to the lyrics closely. As Lauryn says “Develop a negative into a positive picture”
TGIF folks! Happy first day of October!
